Tack Boxes, Tack Trunks & Grooming Boxes
Tack Boxes, Tack Trunks & Grooming Boxes: Organised, Protected & Competition-Ready
A good tack box or trunk is one of those pieces of yard equipment that, once you have one, you wonder how you ever managed without it. Whether it lives in the tack room, travels to every show in the back of the lorry, or sits outside the stable as the central hub of your daily grooming routine, a well-chosen tack trunk keeps everything organised, protected, and exactly where you need it — saving the time and frustration of hunting for brushes, bandages, and competition kit when you're already running late for a class. For competition riders in particular, a lockable tack trunk that travels with you is an indispensable part of a well-organised show setup.
At Horseworld, we stock a range of tack boxes, tack trunks, and grooming boxes in a variety of sizes, materials, and styles to suit yard storage, lorry travel, and competition use. Capacity, durability, and ease of transport are the key practical considerations — alongside lockability for security when leaving kit unattended at shows and events.
Key features and considerations when choosing a tack box or grooming trunk:
- Spacious capacity for competition kit — large enough to store grooming kit, bandages, boots, first aid supplies, and competition essentials in one organised, accessible place
- Lockable for show security — a lockable lid keeps valuable tack, grooming products, and competition kit secure when left unattended at shows, events, and shared yards
- Durable construction for travel — robust materials that withstand the knocks and movement of regular lorry travel without cracking, warping, or losing their shape
- Grooming boxes for daily yard use — smaller, portable grooming boxes that keep brushes, hoof picks, and daily grooming essentials organised and easy to carry to the stable
- Doubles as seating at shows — a sturdy tack trunk with a flat lid doubles as a practical seat at the lorry or ringside, a feature that any regular show-goer will appreciate
